Isaac's High Flying Adventure

Isaac has officially flown, not in an airplane, but off a 4-wheeler. He was having fun with Nathaniel over at Grandma Connie and Papa's house. Isaac was driving the 4-wheeler, Nathaniel was driving the Yerf Dog (go-kart) over in Great-Grandma Lind's field. Isaac thought he saw something run in front of him, took a sharp turn, tipped the 4-wheeler on two wheels and went flying off! After a couple of trips to urgent care they said his left wrist was sprained and he had a fracture on his right wrist. Three days later he had to go see the orthopedic doctor to find out both were fractured and now he gets to have two casts for a month. These are some pictures, I took them a couple days after it happened so his face looks A LOT better then it did when it first happened.
Needless to say, he needed a lot of help to do just about everything at first, but now he's got the hang of life with casts.

Catching up...

Well I haven't posted for a while but here are some things to catch up on. The boys finished their wrestling season at the SLL Tournament at Eastwood. Nathaniel had the toughest group, got through three rounds, but didn't come home with a medal. (He did great though.) Both Isaac and Jacob came home with second place medals for their weight class. It was a fun day.

Abby had an Earth Day program that she was supposed to dress up as a tree, so the weekend before the program she stayed the night with Great-Grandma Achter. They ended up at the fabric store and made a tree costume for her. Too cute.
